Letter from the President

Welcome to our website where you can see a little glimpse into our sisterhood! Every ounce of the spirit of AOII is built on the foundation of selfless love despite all else, and it is a bond that truly lasts forever. On this page, you can learn about our core values and how we implement this love in our everyday lives.
My name is Ann Ross, and I am honored to serve as the Chapter President of the Alpha Pi chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at Florida State University! I am a junior studying psychology and media/communication studies from Tampa, FL. I joined AOII during my freshman year in the height of the dark times of the COVID-19 pandemic. AOII taught me how to see the light in this world, gave me deep friendships, and helped me to grow into who I am. This chapter of kind-hearted and determined women has pushed me to pursue excellence in all that I do whether it is in my academics, work, leadership, or my personal life.
Our motto, “Inspire Ambition,” is an encouragement for our members to push one another towards their goals, to be an inspiration to those around them, and to step outside their comfort zones. The women of Alpha Pi inspire ambition through their involvement around FSU’s campus and the Tallahassee community, including Dance Marathon, Relay for Life, Recruitment Counselors, Student Government Association, Orientation Leaders, the Honors Program, Homecoming Council, Hillel, Catholic Student Union, Best Buddies, Intramural/Club Sports Teams, Academic Honor Societies/Clubs, and many more. To be a sister of AOII means making connections to put yourself out into the world to get involved. Alpha Pi supports women in becoming the best versions of themselves, and this community of virtuous women have become the people that I and many others call home!
